Job description
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals, assisting them with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
Provide emotional support and encourage the independence of service users, promoting their well-being and helping them to achieve their personal goals.
Assist with day-to-day tasks, including shopping, housekeeping, and accompanying individuals to appointments or social activities.
Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment at all times.
Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring the safety and welfare of individuals in your care.
Conduct risk assessments and report any concerns regarding safeguarding or well-being.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate care records, including care plans, incident reports, and medication logs, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Provide flexible support by working across a variety of locations and shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, depending on the needs of the service users.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, families, and support networks to provide the best possible outcomes for individuals in your care.
Essential requirements
Full UK Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role as you may be required to travel between various care settings or support users in the community.
Enhanced DBS Check: You must have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, or be willing to undergo one prior to starting the role.
Right to Work in the UK: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. This job is not applicable to Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship holders.
Previous Care Experience (Desirable but not essential): While previous experience in a care or support worker role is desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidates who are passionate about making a difference.
Good Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
Empathy & Compassion: A caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature, with the ability to work calmly under pressure and respond to the emotional and physical needs of service users.
Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the service users.
