Job description
Specialist Registrar – Acute Medicine:
Medical Care Delivery: Provide high-quality medical care to patients with acute medical conditions, managing emergencies and chronic illnesses in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Patient Management: Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans in line with evidence-based practices.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and allied health staff, to ensure seamless care delivery.
Specialist Registrar – General Surgery:
Surgical Procedures: Assist in and perform elective and emergency surgical procedures under the supervision of consultants. Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients.
Patient Assessments: Evaluate patients’ surgical needs, provide consultations, and develop appropriate surgical care plans.
Team Leadership: Supervise junior doctors and participate in teaching and training initiatives for medical staff.
Specialist Registrar – Orthopaedics:
Orthopaedic Care: Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal injuries and disorders, including trauma cases. Perform minor surgical interventions and assist in major orthopaedic procedures.
Rehabilitation Planning: Collaborate with physiotherapists and other specialists to develop post-surgery rehabilitation plans.
Specialist Registrar – Anaesthetics:
Anaesthesia Delivery: Provide safe and effective anaesthesia services for surgeries, ensuring optimal pain management before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Critical Care Management: Manage critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide life-saving interventions.
Specialist Registrar – Paediatrics:
Paediatric Care: Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of paediatric conditions, both acute and chronic.
Family Communication: Ensure clear communication with families, explaining diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs.
Specialist Registrar – Obstetrics & Gynaecology:
Maternity & Gynaecological Care: Provide medical and surgical care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system.
Antenatal & Postnatal Care: Deliver high-quality care to pregnant women, ensuring safe delivery and ongoing maternal health.
Specialist Registrar – Accident & Emergency:
Emergency Care: Deliver immediate and high-quality care to patients presenting with urgent medical and trauma conditions.
Crisis Management: Triage and prioritise patients according to severity, ensuring timely intervention and liaising with other specialists when needed.
Essential requirements
UAE Medical Registration or License: All candidates must hold or be eligible for a valid UAE medical license (DHA, HAAD, or MOH). Those without a license must be willing to undergo the registration process.
Minimum Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Specialist Registrar or equivalent in your respective specialty, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
Proficient in English: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with international teams and communicate with patients.
Medical Qualifications: A recognised medical degree and postgraduate qualification in your respective specialty (e.g., MRCP, FRCS, MRCGP, or equivalent).
Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose, treat, and manage complex medical conditions within your specialty.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, displaying leadership skills and a collaborative mindset.
Adaptability to International Environment: Flexibility and cultural sensitivity to work in an international healthcare environment, particularly in a fast-paced setting like the UAE.
