Job description

Coordinate and oversee all welding activities, ensuring compliance with welding standards and quality requirements.
Develop and implement welding procedures, specifications, and standards in line with regulatory and client requirements.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and tests on welding processes and finished products to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Manage the training and certification of welders, ensuring they adhere to the required welding techniques and safety protocols.
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
Maintain thorough documentation of welding activities, inspection records, and compliance reports.
Stay updated on industry regulations and technological advancements to enhance welding quality and efficiency.

Essential requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding coordination, quality control, or a similar role within an industrial setting.
Relevant qualifications in welding engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, PCN, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 3834, EN 1090) and regulatory requirements for welding operations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage welding teams and maintain quality control.
Familiarity with welding techniques, materials, and equipment, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
