Job description

Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of adult patients, including health histories, physical examinations, and ongoing evaluations to determine individual care needs. 


Clinical Care: Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. 


Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical conditions, documenting all observations and interventions accurately in patient records. 


Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient. 


Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive measures to promote understanding and compliance.


 Emergency Response: Provide immediate care in emergency situations, including first aid and resuscitation, and coordinate with the emergency response team as needed. 


Infection Control: Implement infection control measures and protocols to prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections. 


Care Coordination: Coordinate patient care transitions, ensuring proper discharge planning and follow-up care instructions are provided to patients and families. 


Advocacy: Advocate for patients’ rights and needs, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support throughout their hospital stay.

Essential requirements

UAE Nursing Registration or License: Applicants must hold or be eligible for a UAE nursing license (DHA, HAAD, or MOH). Candidates without a license must be willing to undergo the registration process. 


Nursing Qualifications: A recognised nursing degree or diploma in adult nursing or general nursing is required. 


Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience working as an adult general nurse in a clinical setting, preferably in acute care or hospital environments. 


Excellent English Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English proficiency is essential for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.


First Aid & CPR Certification: Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory to ensure readiness for emergency situations. 


Compassionate and Professional Attitude: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with patients, providing compassionate and dignified care. 


Knowledge of Clinical Practices: Familiarity with common adult medical conditions, treatments, and current nursing practices is essential. 


Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, respecting the diverse backgrounds and needs of patients and families.
