Job description
Consultant – Acute Medicine:
Specialist Care: Provide expert care for patients with complex and acute medical conditions, ensuring timely diagnosis and treatment.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with specialists from other departments, ensuring integrated patient care and management.
Clinical Leadership: Lead and mentor junior doctors and medical staff, contributing to the continuous improvement of acute medical services.
Consultant – General Surgery:
Surgical Expertise: Perform complex elective and emergency surgical procedures. Provide leadership and oversight during surgical interventions.
Patient Management: Oversee patient care from initial consultation through to post-operative recovery, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
Innovation & Research: Stay up to date with surgical innovations and contribute to research and development within the department.
Consultant – Orthopaedics:
Orthopaedic Surgery: Lead and perform advanced surgical interventions for musculoskeletal conditions, including joint replacements, trauma surgery, and sports injuries.
Patient Care Plans: Develop and oversee rehabilitation plans post-surgery, working with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists to ensure optimal recovery.
Teaching & Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior doctors, fostering the development of future orthopaedic specialists.
Consultant – Anaesthetics:
Anaesthesia Administration: Deliver safe and effective anaesthesia for surgical procedures, managing complex cases in a variety of specialties.
Critical Care Oversight: Supervise the intensive care of critically ill patients, ensuring expert pain management and recovery.
Leadership & Development: Lead anaesthesia teams, ensuring adherence to protocols and contributing to continuous professional development.
Consultant – Paediatrics:
Paediatric Care: Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for a range of paediatric conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses.
Family-Centred Approach: Engage with families and guardians, providing clear communication and ensuring the best possible care for children.
Collaboration with Specialists: Work with multidisciplinary teams, including paediatric surgeons, cardiologists, and other specialists, for comprehensive paediatric care.
Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynaecology:
Maternity & Gynaecological Services: Provide specialist care in maternity and gynaecological health, including antenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care, as well as gynaecological surgeries.
High-Risk Pregnancy Management: Manage high-risk pregnancies and ensure the safety of both mother and child during delivery and postnatal care.
Advanced Gynaecological Surgeries: Perform complex gynaecological procedures using the latest surgical techniques.
Consultant – Accident & Emergency:
Emergency Medicine: Provide expert diagnosis and management of patients presenting with urgent and emergency conditions.
Crisis Management: Lead the A&E department during high-pressure situations, ensuring timely and effective treatment for all patients.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor A&E teams, ensuring the department runs efficiently and meets the highest standards of patient care.
Essential requirements
UAE Medical Registration or License: Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid UAE medical license (DHA, HAAD, or MOH). Candidates without a license must be willing to undergo the registration process.
Minimum Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Consultant in your respective field is required, with a strong background in delivering high-quality patient care.
Excellent English Proficiency: Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential to work in an international environment and effectively interact with a diverse team and patients.
Specialist Medical Qualifications: Recognized medical degree and postgraduate qualifications in your specialty (e.g., CCT, FRCS, MRCP, FCPS, or equivalent).
Clinical Leadership: Proven experience in leading clinical teams, providing mentorship, and contributing to departmental development.
Adaptability to International Environment: Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse environment and work within the UAE’s advanced healthcare system.
