Job description
Culinary Preparation: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes with a focus on both taste and presentation, following the restaurant’s standards and guidelines.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to create and refine innovative and seasonal menus, ensuring a wide variety of culinary offerings that reflect a fine dining experience.
Kitchen Management: Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and up to the restaurant’s high standards. Work efficiently under pressure, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to the restaurant’s specifications. Taste and adjust seasoning, ensuring flavour balance.
Stock Control & Waste Management: Manage stock levels, order ingredients as necessary, and reduce waste by following best practices in portion control and resource management. Health & Safety
Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and sanitation standards. Ensure compliance with local laws and industry best practices in food handling and kitchen safety.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service and an outstanding dining experience for customers.
Training & Development: Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff, sharing knowledge and maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Essential requirements
Minimum 1 Year Experience in 5-Star Restaurants: Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience working in a high-end, 5-star restaurant, with a strong understanding of fine dining standards.
Proficient in English: Good verbal and written English communication skills are essential to ensure effective communication with team members and front-of-house staff.
Culinary Expertise: A strong foundation in culinary techniques, cooking methods, and an eye for detail, especially in food presentation and fine dining cuisine.
Adaptability & Creativity: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes while maintaining creativity and innovation in food preparation. Attention to
