Job description
Assistant Nurses provide nursing care as delegated and supervised by the registered nurse. They are not licensed for independent practice, yet remain responsible and accountable for their action.
ANs work as valuable multidisciplinary healthcare team members and contribute to the overall planning and delivery of nursing tasks. ANs are not expected to have a role in preparation, administration or documentation of medications, as this element of performance lies outside their scope of clinical practice competency.
ANs can perform various interventions, including but not limited to:
Assist patients with their daily living activities such as ambulation, transferring, physical activities and range of motion, dressing, grooming, bathing, and personal hygiene.
Support the provision of nonpharmacological comfort and pain relief interventions such as establishing and maintaining an environment conducive to comfort.
Observe and report changes in the patient’s status and reactions to different aspects of care, upon appropriate training and competency assessment.
Measure fluid intake and output
Essential requirements
Education: Diploma in Nursing (minimum duration of 18 months).
Gender: Female applicants only, from any nationality.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in ICU, Emergency, In-patient Wards, PICU, OT, or similar settings.
Licensing: Must hold one of the following: DOH License or DOH Eligibility or Convertible DHA or MOH License,
Dataflow readiness for DOH
Benefits
Salary: AED 5,000 to AED 5,500 (all-inclusive).
Additional Allowances: AED 300 per month for transportation.
Work Schedule:48 hours per week.
4 days a week, with 12-hour shifts (7 am–7 pm or 7 pm–7 am, rotational).Overtime: Paid as applicable.
Leave: 30 calendar days of paid leave per year, inclusive of a flight ticket allowance.
Contract Benefits:Employment visa and medical insurance for 2 years, renewable upon contract renewal.
